Corona update: vaccine bus

Vaccine bus at the campus of Mainz University of Applied Sciences on October 13, 2022

On Thursday, October 13, 2022, the vaccine bus of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate will be at the university’s campus location (Lucy-Hillebrand-Str. 2) from 10 am – 5 pm.

Who can come to the bus?

  • First and second vaccinations for everyone aged 12 and older.
  • Booster vaccinations: For people 12 and older at least 3 months after the previous vaccination. A 2nd booster vaccination is recommended by the STIKO for people aged 60 and older.
  • A person with legal guardianship must be present at the vaccination ( including the booster) of minors up to and including 15 years of age. A power of attorney is not sufficient!
  • For 16-17 year olds, a declaration of consent from the parents / guardians is sufficient. You can download the declaration here (in German):

If you have any questions about the vaccination, you are welcome to ask the vaccinating physicians for advice without any further obligation.

What should you bring with you?

  •  Identity card/passport
  • Health insurance card
  • Vaccination record (if available)

What vaccines will be used?

The vaccines available are Comirnaty (BioNTech), Spikevax (Moderna) and Nuvaxovid (Novavax).

Starting immediately, the vaccine from the manufacturer BioNTech adapted to the omicron variants BA.1 and BA.4/5 and the bivalent vaccine from Moderna are used for booster vaccinations from the age of 12.
