Stipends

  • The Mainz part of the study programme is tuition-free.
  • Your stay abroad at our partner universities in Europe, Asia, and Latin America is tuition-free.
  • Standard Erasmus grants are available for your stay at partner universities in the European Union and Turkey. The amount depends on the country of destination and may vary between approximately EUR 150 per month and EUR 300 per month.
  • A special Erasmus grant is available for students who spend a semester at Epoka University, Tirana: Travelling costs plus EUR 650 per month.
  • Tuition fees at our U.S. partner universities include a significant discount (for example: in-state-tuition).
  • For students spending their semester abroad in Asia or Latin America, a limited number of "Promos" stipends are available for students with excellent records.
  • Excellent students may be eligible for DAAD and Fulbright stipends as well as grants provided by other organisations.
  • Incoming double degree students from
    • Epoka University, Tirana, Albania
    • Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia
    • may apply for a special Erasmus grant: travelling costs plus EUR 800 per month. Please contact the International Office at your home university.

Application

Dear applicant,

please read the application instructions file corresponding to your pre-requisites.

If you are a German applicant or an applicant with a bachelor degree awarded by an EU institution, please read the “instructions application German and EU”, start the online application procedure and send the results with the full application package directly to Hochschule Mainz by 15th June. The file “Guidance for Online Application” may be helpful for the online application.
Applicants with a bachelor degree awarded by a NON EU institution have to send their application together with OUR application form to Uni-Assist. Please pay the application fee directly to Uni-Assist (check the website for further details).
Hand in your application before 15th June.
Applicants from partner universities fill out the form for exchange students and hand it in to Hochschule Mainz, MA.IB by 30th May.
