Applicants with previous studies

In accordance with Section 20 of the General Regulations for the Bachelor Exams of the School of Engineering (PO-BaFbT) and Section 25 of the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act, achievements earned at a higher education institution are to be recognized unless there are significant differences. This applies to both passed achievements and failed attempts.

A recognition procedure is required for this. This recognition procedure is only carried out after successful enrollment at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Recognition during the application process is unfortunately not possible.

Equivalency list: What modules are recognized by the Examination Board when switching degree programs within Mainz University of Applied Sciences?

Submit the application for the recognition of module achievements to the head of degree program as a PDF document via email when switching degree programs if the modules are not included in the above equivalence list.

Application for crediting of a single completed module, insofar as this examination, academic achievement and module examination was not completed at Mainz University of Applied Sciences in the Civil Engineering Department.

The recognition procedure will be discussed with the head of the degree program during the introductory week at the beginning of the program. Applications for the crediting of module examinations should be submitted at the latest as follows:

•     For recognition procedures in the winter semester: 31 October
•     For recognition procedures in the summer semester: 15 April
