Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)

Im Jahr 2020 hat Prof. Dr. Stephanie Swartz, gemeinsam mit Kolleg:innen anderer deutschen Hochschulen, das Netzwerk COIL’DE gegründet. Mittlerweise umfasst unser Netzwerk über 20 Mitglieder aus vielen verschiedenen Hochschulen und Universitäten Deutschlands.
Wir treffen uns seit 2020 etwa jeden Monat und besprechen Themen rund um Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), die für die deutsche Hochschullandschaft insbesonders relevant sind. Unser Ziel ist es zur Etablierung von COIL-Projekten an den Hochschulen beizutragen sowie den Austausch mit COIL-Interessierten auszubauen.

 

Hybrid COIL'DE Bar Camp

  • Morning Session (9 am - 12 pm CEST): How to develop sustainable COILs in Germany
  • Afternoon Session (1 - 4 pm CEST): Learn and Share – COILs in Germany and abroad
  • Wrap Up (4 - 5 pm CEST): Discussion of Results and Farewell

 

 

 

Our Bar Camp will bring together instructors from various institutions, catering to both those interested in COIL and seasoned COIL practitioners. Additionally, we welcome curricula designers and E-Learning colleagues, who have engaged in COIL projects. The Bar Camp will involve a dynamic combination of live and online participation.

 

  • Unconference: there is no previous agenda, we will decide what to talk about onsite
  • Brainstorming: Engage in collaborative idea generation on various COIL-related topics
  • Small Group Discussions: Break into smaller groups to delve into specific topics of interest
  • Plenary: Share findings and insights with the broader audience
  • Language: Presentations in the large plenum will be in English, while smaller groups can choose to engage in German
