Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)
Im Jahr 2020 gründete Prof. em. Stephanie Swartz, gemeinsam mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen anderer deutscher Hochschulen das Netzwerk COIL’DE. Mittlerweise umfasst unser Netzwerk über 20 Mitglieder aus vielen verschiedenen Hochschulen und Universitäten Deutschlands.
Wir treffen uns etwa alle sechs Wochen besprechen Themen rund um Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), die für die deutsche Hochschullandschaft insbesonders relevant sind. Unser Ziel ist es zur Etablierung von COIL-Projekten an den Hochschulen beizutragen sowie den Austausch mit COIL-Interessierten auszubauen. Das COIL'DE Barcamp findet einemal im Jahr statt und wird jeweils von einer Institution aus dem Netzwerk ausgerichtet.

Was ist COIL?
Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) connects students and professors in different countries for collaborative projects and discussions as part of their coursework.
COIL Collaborations between students and professors provide meaningful, significant opportunities for global experiences built into programs of study.
COIL enhances intercultural student team focused interaction through proven approaches to meaningful online and virtual engagement, while providing universities with a cost-effective way to ensure that their students are globally engaged.
