Federal financial aid (BAföG)

Training funding under the Federal Training Support Act (BAföG) regulates state funding for students while studying at a university. The funding is used to finance living costs during your studies. BAföG for students is usually granted half as a grant and half as an interest-free loan.

For students of Mainz University of Applied Sciences, the Office for Educational Assistance (BAföG-Amt) of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is responsible. Detailed information on BAföG can be found on the website of Johannes Gutenberg University.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research offers extensive information on the page "BAföG". You can also apply for your BAföG online here.
