Screen Printing Shop

Features

Here you'll find equipment for mounting and exposing printing screens, as well as various printing tables. You can print on a variety of materials up to DIN A0 size and on three-dimensional objects up to a few centimeters thick.

Print Templates

The print templates are oriented correctly, in positive image, at a 1:1 scale, and opaque in the areas to be printed. Laser printer transparencies are particularly suitable for this purpose. These can be printed on, but can also be painted or labeled.

Different materials produce different results. Film markers or film ink should be jet black or dark red if you want to print a solid, untextured area. Some of these pens have a high blue content, so that the short-wavelength blue light from the exposure lamp cures the layer on the screen in areas where the ink is applied more thinly. This results in a printed area where the brushstrokes are visible as light structures when the surface is processed. You can find suitable materials, for example, among permanent markers. Colored markers for overhead projectors are unsuitable because they are too transparent.

To print images onto transparencies, you can use your own computer printer or make photocopies at a copy shop. If you want to achieve a strong black-and-white contrast, printing with a laser printer is preferable, as the areas will be black or gray, but not blue.
