Alumnity e.V. provides financial support for selected projects and initiatives at the Department of Economics at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. The focus is on projects that enrich the academic experience, promote exchange, or create special added value for students.

In particular, funding is provided for student initiatives and projects that would not be feasible without additional funding—such as the sumMIT conference, which is organized independently by students.

In addition, Alumnity e.V. is involved in the Deutschlandstipendium program: In 2025, the association funded its first scholarship. The Deutschlandstipendium supports high-achieving and dedicated students and is funded equally by private donors and the federal government. In addition to financial support, scholarship recipients also benefit from non-monetary support programs and connections to sponsors. The goal is to sustain this commitment over the long term and to expand it further as opportunities arise.

Alumnity e.V. honors the best bachelor’s and master’s theses from the Department of Economics during the graduation ceremony. The awards recognize theses that stand out for their exceptionally high academic quality, well-founded analyses, and clear practical relevance.

The award includes a cash prize and recognizes the hard work and dedication that go into an outstanding thesis. At the same time, it is intended to motivate students to delve deeply into their topics and tackle challenging questions.

The ceremonial presentation of the awards in front of graduates, families, faculty, and guests underscores the special significance of this achievement and highlights outstanding academic accomplishments.

Alumnity e.V. supports events at the Department of Economics at Mainz University of Applied Sciences that strengthen community and enrich the academic experience beyond the lecture hall.
