GOAL Scholarship: Apply now!

Study abroad at partner universities worldwide

Apply now for funding for a semester abroad

The 2026 GOAL Scholarship offers students at Mainz University of Applied Sciences the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of five non-European partner universities, with a clear focus on sustainability and international cooperation. The program aims to strengthen global partnerships and encourage students to actively contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

GOAL stands for “Global Outreach Through Action and Leadership.” The network funds student projects, collaborations, and faculty mobility and helps overcome structural barriers to international exchange. Mainz University of Applied Sciences cooperates with universities in India, the USA, Taiwan, Macau, and Chile. Students from all three of our schools, Design, Engineering and Business, can apply if their degree program is compatible with one of the partner universities.

Funding is provided for a semester abroad in the 2026/2027 winter semester, a single lump sum for travel costs of between 1,300 and 2,250 Euro and a monthly living allowance of between 450 and 550 Euro for a maximum of five months. The program is supplemented by the GOAL Academy with international workshops and lectures. The scholarship is paid out as a lump sum. Other costs such as visa, insurance, and accommodations must be covered by the applicant

The application deadline is November 10, 2025. Submit your complete documents as a PDF file using the Seafile link provided:
