Tom Bender M.Eng. was invited to be a guest lecturer at the 44th Technical Committee for Structural Engineering at Aachen University of Applied Sciences. As a staff member of the School of Engineering at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, he gave a lecture on the topic of “AI and university teaching – a curse or a blessing?” and presented the results of the innovative teaching project “INGenious Quizzing.” His aim was to inform around 35 professors of structural engineering about current developments in the field of artificial intelligence and their applications in teaching. Using practical demonstrations and discussions, he gave the participants the opportunity to transfer AI-supported methods directly to their own teaching concepts and integrate them sustainably into everyday university life.
