Architecture with integrated practical period

The degree program Architecture with Integrated Practical Periods is a full-time degree program.

It is not possible to apply directly to the first, second or third subject-related semester. Please first apply to the Bachelor's in Architecture degree program. The first three semesters of the two degree programs are identical. It is possible to switch to the program version with integrated practical periods starting in the fourth semester, provided that the requirements listed below have been fulfilled. The switch to the degree program Architecture with Integrated Practical Periods can be done at the earliest after the third semester.

Requirements

1. A switch from the bachelor's degree program of architecture to the degree program with integrated practical periods is only possible from the third, fourth and fifth semester for the respective next semester.
    
2. A switch between the two degree programs is only possible within the re-registration deadline.
   • by July 1 of each year for a change of degree program for the winter semester
   • by January 15 of each year for a change of degree program for the summer semester
      
3. The following documents must be submitted when switching from the bachelor's degree program of architecture to the degree program with integrated practical periods:
   • Form “Unterlagen zum Studiengangwechsel vom BA Architektur zum BA Architektur mit integrierter Praxis” (see download “Application to switch degree programs”)
   • A copy of the cooperation agreement or a binding statement from your employer that a cooperation agreement will be concluded (in triplicate)

After submitting the form “Unterlagen zum Studiengangwechsel vom BA Architektur zum BA Architektur mit integrierter Praxis” and the cooperation agreement, the cooperation agreement will be reviewed and your semester classification will be determined based on your previous performance in the Bachelor's program in Architecture in the department. You will then be contacted by email by the Student Office regarding the next steps in the application process.
