Bachelor's and Master's degrees celebrated

School of Business bids farewell to its graduates

Last Saturday, the School of Business at Mainz University of Applied Sciences welcomed around 850 guests, including graduates, family member,s and friends, to the 2023 Academic Graduation Ceremony in the Great Hall of the Electoral Palace (Kurfürstliches Schloss).

The ceremony was officially commenced by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Susanne Weissman, and the Dean of the School, Prof. Dr. Jörn Redler. Both warmly welcomed the graduates and extended their best wishes to the students for the future. Prof. Dr. Jens Reinhardt led the guests through the evening with his charismatic style as the master of ceremonies.
It was particularly moving for the graduates from 18 different degree programs to be called to the stage and honored for their degrees. The crème de la crème of the year, graduates with an overall grade of 1, were once again introduced and honored separately on stage.

The Academic Graduation Ceremony was also an opportunity to recognize outstanding achievements. Prizes for research-intensive theses and the Kurt Dörr Prize were awarded to reward both students and dedicated employees for their special contributions.

Around 700 students successfully completed their studies in the 2022/2023 academic year. This included 83 outstanding graduates who were able to demonstrate impressive achievements.
