Students explore Kuala Lumpur

Field trip as an integral part of the master’s degree program

Kuala Lumpur – Thirty students from the master’s degree program in Management at Mainz University of Applied Sciences gained valuable insights into Malaysia's economic and business environment during a study trip. Accompanied by professors Dr. Susanne Rank and Dr. Britta Rathje, the participants visited important institutions and companies in Kuala Lumpur.

The program included visits to the German Embassy, the Chamber of Foreign Trade, and renowned companies and organizations such as Schott, Skribble, A & M Meyer, AICB Centre of Excellence, INTI University, the Goethe Institute, and Volkswagen Malaysia.

The aim of the field trip was to give students practical insights into a new economic zone, deepen their understanding of international markets, and enable them to establish valuable professional networks.

“This field trip is a central component of our master's program. It offers students the opportunity to combine their theoretical knowledge with real economic challenges and to network internationally,” emphasizes program director Prof. Dr. Susanne Rank.

The excursion to Kuala Lumpur underscores the importance of practical teaching and intercultural skills for future-oriented management education.
