Employees who have only recently started working at Mainz University of Applied Sciences can find out about various departments over the course of a year as part of the newly created “New to the University” event series.
The online information events take place every second and fourth Tuesday of the month, from 11:00 to 12:00. New colleagues or any employees who would like to learn more about a particular department can find the dates and dial-in details in the internal section of the homepage.
The following organizational units will introduce themselves at the upcoming sessions:
- 10/11/2022: Human Resources & Legal: regulations on working hours, time tracking and absences
- 10/25/2022: Research & Transfer
- 11/08/2022: Center for Information & Communication Technology (ZIK)
- 11/22/2022: Facility Management
Welcome event in September
The online events are supplemented by an in-person welcome event, to which all new employees are invited once a year. The first of these welcome events was held on September 13, 2022.
After a welcome address by the President of Mainz University of Applied Sciences, Professor Dr. Susanne Weissman, and the Chancellor, Jens Egler, representatives of the three schools of Design, Engineering and Business introduced their respective schools to the new staff members.
Following the presentation, the participants had the opportunity to talk to employees from various organizational units and learn about their tasks and current projects.
