The cross-university EMPOWER transfer project is presented under the title EMPOWER – Transferbündnis für Rheinhessen/Vorderpfalz (EMPOWER – Transfer Alliance for Rheinhessen/Vorderpfalz) in the Forschungskosmos special supplement of DIE ZEIT newspaper published on April 27, 2023, and on the ZEIT für X platform.
EMPOWER is receiving funding as part of the second round of funding under the federal-state initiative Innovative Hochschule (2023 - 2027). The project addresses five socially relevant megatrends that have numerous interdisciplinary intersections.
Mainz University of Applied Sciences: Connectivity
The aim of the activities at Mainz University of Applied Sciences is to address connectivity needs in Rheinhessen and the Vorderpfalz region in the Innovation Lab, Competence Center, and New Venture Studio, and to initiate corresponding innovation projects. This is intended to qualify individuals and companies for the challenges of tomorrow. Innovative, intelligent solutions for topics such as artificial intelligence, virtual & augmented reality, smart industry, robotics, and digital reputation will be developed in projects and cooperative processes with external regional partners. In addition, Mainz University of Applied Sciences initiates activities for the sustained anchoring of knowledge and expertise in EMPOWER through knowledge management, both within the transfer alliance and with external partners.
