Six steps to studying civil engineering through a dual degree program

Search for companies that offer dual study programs in civil engineering. Use company websites, platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram, or the Mainz University of Applied Sciences program website. We list open positions from our practice partners there. Check back regularly for new offers.

Apply directly to companies that offer dual study programs. Prepare your documents (resume, cover letter, transcripts) carefully and tailor them to the company's requirements. Prepare yourself for interviews and assessment centers.

Once you have found a company that accepts you, sign an internship/employment contract. Make sure that the company is willing to cooperate with Mainz University of Applied Sciences.

The company concludes a cooperation agreement with Mainz University of Applied Sciences regarding your dual study program. This is a prerequisite for your enrollment with us.

Apply for a place on the dual civil engineering program via the Mainz University of Applied Sciences application portal within the applicable application deadlines. Submit all the necessary documents. If you have a foreign university entrance qualification, you must also register via uni-assist to have your entrance qualification and language skills checked.

Once you have been accepted for a place on the course, you will complete your enrollment at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. You are now officially enrolled on the dual study program and can begin your studies with your practical training company.
