400 students are starting their studies

Freshman Orientation Week Kicks Off at the School of Business

More than 400 bachelor’s and master’s students began their studies at the School of Business at Mainz University of Applied Sciences on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, as part of Freshman Week. The first-year students include those enrolled in the bachelor’s programs in Business Administration, Business Law, Applied Computer Science, and Digital Media. Master’s students in the Management and Business Administration programs also attended the welcome ceremony in the packed auditorium. Prof. Dr. Jörn Redler, Dean of the School of Business, warmly welcomed the students.

During Freshman Week, students learn all the important information about their studies. They are introduced to the online services available to them throughout their studies, get to know the department’s support services, and receive information about their degree programs. And last but not least, they get to know one another. They had the opportunity to do so right away during the welcome get-together. In a relaxed atmosphere, the freshmen were able to make their first connections. Take the three Jennys, for example: three business administration students named Jenny found each other and hit it off right away. All three have already completed vocational training and are now ready to hit the ground running in their bachelor’s program.
