After being awarded the EXIST startup grant from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, the “AVClipTracker” project by Andreas Fitza and Susanne Halupczok from the startup incubator at Mainz University of Applied Sciences has now received additional funding. The graduate of the Time-Based Media program and the alumna of the University of Mainz were honored in June at an official ceremony as winners of the “Kreativsonar” competition at the Saar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Saar), attended by Saarland Minister of Economic Affairs Anke Rehlinger and the Rhineland-Palatinate’s Senior Ministerial Director Dr. Joe Weingarten. As one of a total of ten projects, they have won a six-month coaching program provided by kreativzentrum.saar and the Business and Innovation Center (BIC) in Kaiserslautern.
AVClipTracker is a software solution that digitizes the individual steps in the video production process. By using this technology and specialized tools, traditional on-set media (e.g., paper, clapperboard) are eliminated. Communication is improved through cloud-based solutions. The ability to tag material as it is being created facilitates its further processing. The entire organization and production process becomes more efficient.
The competition is sponsored and supported by the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economics, Climate Protection, Energy, and Regional Planning and the Saarland Ministry of Economics, Labor, Energy, and Transportation. It is organized by saar.is – saarland.innovation & standort e. V. Cooperation partners include kreativzentrum.saar and the Business and Innovation Center Kaiserslautern.
