Collaboration with India

[Translate to English:] Die Professoren Dr. S. Vijayakumar Bharathi und Dr. Mandaar B. Pande zusammen mit Prof. Dr. Anett Mehler-Bicher, Vizepräsidentin der Hochschule Mainz, Prof. Dr. Jörn Redler (1.v.r.), Dekan des Fachbereich Wirtschaft und Prof. Dr. Bernhard Ostheimer (1.v.l.)

SCIT and Mainz University of Applied Sciences have been working together for three years

The SCIT (Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology) in Pune, India, and Mainz University of Applied Sciences have been working together since 2019. Teams of Indian and German students conduct joint research projects; at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, this takes place in the class Research & Practice in the on-the-job Master’s in IT Management degree program. This gives working students the opportunity to experience international aspects in their studies. Next September, the German students will have the opportunity to get to know the Indian students during their international field trip to Pune.

To reinforce the collaboration, professors Dr. S. Vijayakumar Bharathi and Dr. Mandaar B. Pande were hosted by Mainz University of Applied Sciences from December 10-18, 2022. During many discussions they had the opportunity to get to know Mainz University of Applied Sciences better and to identify further possible areas of cooperation. The agenda also included guest lectures and a Design Thinking workshop.

Outside Mainz University of Applied Sciences, the two professors had plenty of opportunities to get to know Mainz and the surrounding area in very wintry temperatures and weather conditions, and to experience the magic of hot mulled wine at the Christmas market.
