Mainz University of Applied Sciences invites you to the first Research and Transfer Day on campus on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Those interested in research will have the opportunity to learn about the university’s current research priorities, to participate in interactive formats, and to network.

The Research and Transfer Day will commence at 1:30 p.m. with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Susanne Weissman, President of Mainz University of Applied Sciences, and Manuela Matz, Head of the Department of Economic Affairs of the City of Mainz. With its Economic and Structural Development Department, the City of Mainz is an active cooperation partner of the university for this day.

The following key topics of the university will be presented:

  • Spatial information and surveying technology
  • Applied AI and robotics
  • Sustainable materials and structures
  • Digital innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Digital cultural heritage, media, and design

Along with presentations on current research projects, the day will focus on networking. Speed-dating-style exchanges on the latest innovations and potential collaborations will give participants at the five tables on specific topics an immediate opportunity to talk to one another. In particular, young researchers from Mainz University of Applied Sciences will have the opportunity to present their current research projects at the Research and Transfer Day. The day will be rounded off by a science slam, where science will be presented in an understandable and entertaining way.

In addition to invited guests from the business world and the community, the event is open to members of the public who are interested in research. The Research and Transfer Day will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the auditorium (Aula) of Mainz University of Applied Sciences, Lucy-Hillebrand-Strasse 2.
