Freezing Week

...in Hämeenlinna, Finland, at HAMK - HÄME University

Dr. Anja Wittstock represented Mainz University of Applied Sciences at the International Week hosted by HAMK – HÄME University of Applied Sciences, held from February 4–8, 2019. Freezing Week, as the event is known in Finland, was held under the theme “Smart and Sustainable Design, Business Intelligence for Business Design and Entrepreneurship.” A total of more than 20 faculty members from ten different countries and various disciplines, as well as more than 80 HAMK students, participated. Freezing Week featured a variety of presentations by the participating guest lecturers. Dr. Anja Wittstock gave a presentation titled “Alternative Data in Asset Management.” In addition to the guest lectures, a joint workshop on the topic “The Ecosystem of Hämeenlinna” took place as part of the event. The workshop topic was explored from various perspectives by students working in different groups with the guidance of the guest lecturers and presented to a committee at the end of the week. HAMK – HÄME University of Applied Sciences is a partner institution of Mainz University of Applied Sciences, which provides students with the opportunity to participate in an exchange program.
