Visiting lecturer holds lectures at the School of Business

Dr. Esmir Demaj from Epoka University in Tirana gives lectures at the School of Business

In the last week before Christmas, Dr. Esmir Demaj made it to Mainz despite icy weather, albeit with some delay. Arriving late on Tuesday night, missing his welcome dinner, he had to give a four-hour lecture in the Strategic Management class with Prof. Dr. Volrad Wollny at 9:00 am the following morning, after just a brief night’s rest. Demaj was very pleased with the enthusiastic participation of the students. They, in turn, gained interesting insights into the situation in Albania and were able to practice using strategic management tools based on examples.
In addition to guest lectures, Dr. Demaj will hold talks on the further deepening of the cooperation between the two universities and, of course, meet with the Albanian students at our university.

Dr. Esmir Demaj heads the Department (equivalent to our School) of Business Management at the private Epoka University in Tirana. The Albanian university is a cooperation partner of Mainz University of Applied Sciences and we enjoy a regular exchange of faculty members. A number of Albanian students have completed and are completing their Master’s degree in International Business at Mainz University of Applied Sciences with a DAAD scholarship and the aim of obtaining a double degree from Epoka University and Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
