From May 12 to 17, 2024, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Mai visited our partner university, ÉCOLE SUPÉRIEURE D'INGÉNIEURS DES TRAVAUX DE LA CONSTRUCTION (ESITC Paris) in Arcueil, south of Paris. There, he led the English-language course module “Hydraulics of Piped Water Systems.” He taught a group of 25 ESITC students during an intensive one-week block course.
In the upcoming winter semester, one student from this group will gain the international experience required by ESITC as an exchange student in the International Civil Engineering program within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
The visit also provided an opportunity to strengthen the exchange between ESITC and Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Prof. Mai held discussions with ESITC Director Antoine Lecocq and Sophie Hubert Tiphangne from the “International Office.”
Prof. Mai’s visit to ESITC Paris is part of the internationalization strategy of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. The visit was funded by the ERASMUS+ program, which enables us to build and strengthen such valuable experiences and connections.
