German Rectors' Conference (HRK) Research Map

Mainz University of Applied Sciences represented on research map with new research priority

As of this year, Mainz University of Applied Sciences is now represented on the national research map of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) for universities of applied sciences with three research priorities instead of two:

  • Spatial Information and Surveying Technology (previously Information Technology)
  • Digital Media, Design and Humanities (previously Media and Communication)
  • Digitization and Transformation of Organizations in Business and Society (new)

For the first time, the expertise of the School of Business is included in a priority, while the two previous research priorities have been realigned. As such, the HRK research priorities reflect the current developments of the profile and potentials of Mainz University of Applied Sciences.

To qualify for inclusion as a research priority on the HRK research map, the research priorities that create characterize the institutional profile must meet criteria regarding the number of cooperating professorships, the annual publication output and patent applications, as well as the amount of third-party funding acquired.
