Construction students visit the Malakoff Passage in Mainz

To conclude the Valuation/Real Estate Appraisal module, students in the Construction and Real Estate Management/Facilities Management, Technical Real Estate Management, and Industrial Engineering (Construction) programs visited the Malakoff Passage in Mainz.

Uwe Ditt from the internationally active appraisal firm Ditt Wicht Partner (Mainz), together with his colleagues Daniel Fuhr and Jörg-Marten Gerdau, provided an introduction to the property and its location from an appraiser’s perspective. This mixed-use property—comprising offices, a hotel, restaurants, and retail—has already undergone dynamic development in recent years.

The group then walked to the offices of ENA EXPERTS GmbH & Co. KG Real Estate Valuation, another globally active valuation firm. Founder and Managing Director Birger Ehrenberg and Managing Director Philipp Kohl provided fascinating insights into the company’s structure and future strategic direction. Dr. Marcel-Alexander Gärtner gave an impressive presentation on the capabilities of ENA’s in-house research department, and Philipp J. Liebold provided an in-depth look at digitalization in the real estate industry, a topic being explored by ENA’s subsidiary, brickalize.

The excursion was rounded out by casual conversations over delicious snacks and drinks.
