A Brief Introduction to SAP SuccessFactors

Digital skills are essential in today’s workplace. This makes it all the more important to give students an early introduction to the HR software used in companies. On May 6, 2021, the Human Resource Management (HRM) Department at the university hosted its second HR Digital Session in cooperation with the All for One Group, this time online. The event was also open to the HRM Section’s network partners. As a result, around 40 students and HR professionals were welcomed via Zoom at noon. Following a brief briefing by Prof. Dr. Norbert Rohleder and Prof. Dr. Susanne Rank, Senior HR Consultant Cornelia Frühwein began with an introduction to the challenges of digitalization and highlighted the digital skills that are essential for HR professionals in their day-to-day work. Sales Manager Antonia Szonnell then introduced the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite. SAP SuccessFactors is the next generation of HR software, in which all HRM processes across the employee lifecycle can be linked together. During the HR Digital Session, Antonia Szonnell used a demo system to demonstrate how SAP SuccessFactors supports master data management as well as the recruiting and onboarding processes. Finally, participants had the opportunity to ask questions during a discussion session.
