Is sustainability more than a theoretical concept for you, something you actually live every day? Are you a student at Mainz University of Applied Sciences who is already getting involved in sustainability, whether on campus or beyond? Then apply for our “re:use – re:pair – re:nature” competition and win a cash prize for your project.
Who can enter the competition?
All students enrolled at Mainz University of Applied Sciences who are actively working on a sustainable project in one of our three categories.
What topics are we looking for?
re:use – reusing, sharing, and creatively repurposing materials and products (such as a clothing swap party)
re:pair – repairing and maintaining items for the long term (like a repair café)
re:nature – projects that promote ecological diversity and give nature more room to thrive (urban gardening, for example)
What prizes are there?
A cash prize of €150 will be awarded in each category (re:use, re:pair, re:nature). Your project will also be featured as part of this year’s LEHRimpuls..
How can I enter the competition?
Submit your project by September 14 by email (kompetenzzentrum (at) hs-mainz.de) with the subject line “Nachhaltigkeitswettbewerb” and the participation form attached. Unfortunately, applications submitted through any other channel cannot be considered for the competition.
From all submissions, nine projects will be nominated for the final round as part of “LEHRimpuls 2026,” where they will be presented as videos to the audience for a final vote.
