This week, Mainz University of Applied Sciences unveils its new image campaign, “Tomorrow starts here – Our new campus. More room for collaboration.” to promote the expansion of the university’s joint campus, which will become fully operational over the coming months.
On October 27, 2025, the university will hold a key handover ceremony for the second construction phase, a formal event for invited guests that marks both the official start of the final construction stage and the beginning of relocation from the university’s former downtown sites. Starting in spring 2026, the campus will expand further with the addition of the LUCY building, which will provide student workspaces and modern event facilities. The LUCY project represents the university’s first independent construction initiative.
With the campus expansion, Mainz University of Applied Sciences will bring all three schools together at a single location on Lucy-Hillebrand-Straße. Only the Time-Based Media degree program will remain at the Wallstraße site near the main train station, not far from the campus. This proximity will foster future synergies in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer.
Situated in close proximity to Johannes Gutenberg University, the MEWA Arena, and the emerging Biotech Campus, the new joint campus of Mainz University of Applied Sciences creates a forward-looking center for applied sciences. With its comprehensive range of degree programs and numerous partnerships with innovative companies, it fits seamlessly into the thriving science hub that is Mainz.
