Prof. Nadja Mayer’s class, with its 21 students, handled every aspect of the podcast’s production themselves: from research to writing, from hosting to sound design and editing. The name and visual identity were also developed as part of the course.
The podcast focuses on the city of the future. By 2050, two-thirds of the world’s population will live in cities. Sustainable urbanization is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. How, for example, can we bring more green spaces into the city to improve air quality? Can tiny houses solve the housing problem? Will we share more things and repair more items in the future rather than buying new ones? And what can we already do ourselves, right here and now? In our daily lives, in our immediate surroundings? The city of the future raises many exciting questions.
