Susanne Weissman to Become President of Mainz University of Applied Sciences

On July 10, the Senate of Mainz University of Applied Sciences elected a new president. Prof. Dr. Susanne Weissman will succeed the incumbent, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Muth. After completing her teacher training, Susanne Weissman studied psychology at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, where she also earned her doctorate. She subsequently worked as a freelance psychotherapist and management consultant. She has been a professor of psychology at the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg since 2004 and has served as the university’s vice president since 2008. Susanne Weissman will take office on March 1, 2020.
