In Review: Communication Design Graduates Exhibited at LUX

The graduates of the Communication Design program have wrapped up an inspiring and successful exhibition, during which they presented their bachelor’s and master’s theses at the LUX Pavilion at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. From January 31 to February 1, 2025, the exhibition offered an impressive glimpse into the creative, innovative, and artistically sound projects of our students.

A diverse range of works was on display, reflecting the broad spectrum of communication design. From web design and illustration to photography and interdisciplinary and multimedia projects—the students demonstrated their skills across a wide variety of formats and media. The exhibition was characterized by diverse, individual exhibition concepts as well as an impressive range of topics addressed by the graduates.

For the students, the event offered a valuable opportunity to present their final projects to a broad audience and engage in dialogue with visitors. In particular, the well-attended opening and closing receptions created an open space for conversation and exchange. The closing event on January 31 provided graduates Alessandra Escobar, Aylin Fetzer, and Bastian Hansl with a successful platform to present their final projects.

You can find more photos of the exhibition at this link.

All projects by the graduating class can be viewed on the exhibition’s website:

We’re already looking forward to the upcoming graduation exhibitions in the approaching summer semester of 2025.
