Summer, sunshine, popsicles … and to top it all off, a degree in hand!
Despite the summer heat, they kept their cool and successfully mastered the challenges of their final semester. Our bachelor’s and master’s graduates proudly presented their work to the public from July 7 to July 22, 2023, at the LUX Pavilion at Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
Thematically, there was something for everyone. The students drew on a wide variety of aspects of communication design. Artificial intelligence has long been an integral part of everyday life in our department and, in practice, blends seamlessly with the classic techniques of visual communication. The exhibition featured works from the fields of typography, corporate and editorial design, book design, illustration, text, web design, apps, multimedia installations, and much more.
“Like ice in the sunshine*” —at the opening reception, we celebrated the successful exhibition and the graduation of our students together with them. Refreshing ice cream and cool drinks, set against the backdrop of the graduation projects, made for a thoroughly enjoyable summer evening at the very well-attended LUX.
Now the graduates of the Communication Design program are heading off in all directions—we wish them every success and a constant flow of refreshing ideas!
