Jury comment: “A walk in the Mainzer Sand nature reserve, drinking tea, and baking cake. Seemingly everyday things are vividly interwoven in the graphic novel with an autobiographical exploration of feelings and fears during the lockdown—and in such a dreamlike, beautiful, and melancholic way that you’re completely captivated by this story.” Lucie Langston’s work was supervised by Prof. Monika Aichele.   Bronze for Leonie Neuhäusel, Linda Zwick, and Teresa Peil Leonie Neuhäusel, Linda Zwick, and Teresa Peil won bronze for their video “RAP SPRICHT WAHRHEIT.” For four months, a seminar at the Department of Design at Mainz University of Applied Sciences explored the highly topical social issue of fake news: One of the resulting projects is the video by the three students Leonie Neuhäusel, Linda Zwick, and Teresa, which has now been awarded bronze at the ADC Talents Awards 2021. The three students collaborated with a rapper and a sound designer to bring their idea to life, using rap and visual language to educate a young audience.
