On July 9, to mark its 77th anniversary, the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Surveying and Geospatial Information (LVermGeo) held an open house, offering the public a chance to take a look behind the scenes at the office in Koblenz-Lützel. Despite the high temperatures, interest and participation in the diverse range of activities were high.
Kerstin Jeppe and Pascal Neis took the opportunity to present the combined bachelor’s degree program in Geoinformatics and Surveying. Since 2014, the Department of Geoinformatics and Surveying at Mainz University of Applied Sciences has offered this program in cooperation with the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Surveying and Geobasis Information (LVermGeo) and the Rhineland-Palatinate Land Consolidation Administration (DLR). This form of professional training, in which students simultaneously complete the bachelor’s degree program and practical professional training in the state’s surveying and geoinformation service, enjoys high popularity every time it begins in the winter semester.
Interior Minister Michael Ebling and State Secretary Nicole Steingaß also took the opportunity to visit the office and learn about the work of the State Office.
