A Virtual Summer Greeting

Summer greetings from the Department of Economics captured in a collage

The 2020 summer semester will certainly go down in history as the “Corona semester”: no students in the university buildings, working from home, Zoom meetings, and virtual lectures. Life on campus has changed dramatically in recent months due to the pandemic. Even everyday things like having coffee in the Magistrale, eating lunch in the cafeteria, or simply chatting with each other in the hallways are no longer possible as they once were. We’re only very slowly returning to normal. And social distancing rules, hand sanitizer, and face masks remain mandatory! That’s why the Communications Department asked all members of the Department of Economics to send a virtual greeting. After all, the university community naturally continues to thrive despite the pandemic! Many participated and took photos of their greeting cards in the most unusual of places. The cards have been compiled into a collage.
