On March 1, 2020, Prof. Dr. Susanne Weissman took office in her new home city, succeeding Prof. Dr. Gerhard Muth. A trained psychologist, she served as vice president at the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg from 2008 to 2019, where she was responsible for human resources development, institutional development, and digitalization.
“I want to build something new in Mainz while also strengthening what has already proven successful,” says Susanne Weissman enthusiastically, “and I am convinced that every university can only realize its full potential if it cultivates both its openness to the outside world and its internal cohesion. Mainz University of Applied Sciences is well-equipped for the future—it’s the best place to study and work that one could wish for!”
At the same time, Mainz University of Applied Sciences extends its gratitude to Prof. Dr. Gerhard Muth and Prof. Dr. Andrea Beyer, who have steered the university’s course as president and vice president since 2007 and 2008, respectively, and wishes them all the best for the future.
