ACADEMIC SUCCESS ADVISORY SERVICE
The university’s General Student Advisory Service offers you a contact point that you can turn to through your studies for help with issues relating to your academic success. The General Student Advisory Service focuses on you and your study-specific issues. As an impartial institution, we have an unbiased view of your concerns and needs.
We advise you on the following issues in particular:
- individual learning management and exam preparation
- self organization
- time management
- motivation to study
- dealing with possible loss of right to take examinations
- decision-making when changing you subject or university, dropping out of studies
... and many other topics relating to your studies that you bring along.

You can make an individual consultation appointment from your student e-mail via studienberatung (at) hs-mainz.de
Please let us know whether you would like to meet via Zoom or in person on site, let us know when you are available and briefly describe your concerns. We will get back to you via e-mail with a Zoom link and/or specific dates.

Courses Offered by the Psychotherapy Counseling Center at Johannes Gutenberg University
We would like to draw your attention to our partnership with the Psychotherapy Counseling Center at Johannes Gutenberg University:
• During the 2026 summer semester, students at Mainz University of Applied Sciences will once again be able to take advantage of the wide range of courses on topics such as mindfulness, test anxiety, and prevention. • Registration is required for the courses.
