Introducing the Construction and Environment Department

Shaping a Safe Environment and Preserving a High Quality of Life

Our construction degree programs at Mainz University of Applied Sciences are as diverse as the career paths in the construction industry itself. From the conception, planning, financing, design, calculation, construction, and maintenance of buildings to renovation, repurposing, and demolition, we cover all disciplines of construction. You can choose from six bachelor’s and five master’s degree programs.

System-Oriented and Interconnected Programs

Those working in the construction industry must understand structures holistically as building systems. Our degree programs therefore cover the entire life cycle of the built environment. This includes not only the planning, construction, and operation of buildings, but also the infrastructure for transportation and water supply—in other words, the lifelines of a modern society.

Through the interconnection of the course offerings across the various construction-related degree programs, you will acquire a broad spectrum of professionally qualifying skills and a better understanding of the built environment as a whole. This system-oriented and interdisciplinary curriculum is a distinctive feature of the Construction and Environment department at Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
