Employee Assistance Program

From time to time, we all find ourselves in situations where we are unable to clear our minds and it is helpful to talk to a neutral but qualified person. Since September 2023, Mainz University of Applied Sciences offers its staff the opportunity to take advantage of comprehensive support in the form of counseling sessions and coaching from an established professional.

This service is available to all staff at any time at short notice, with no red tape and geared towards everyday life in the event of professional, family, health, or other personal issues. Counseling is anonymous and confidential and is free of charge for Mainz University of Applied Sciences staff.

There are two basic ideas behind these services: First, challenging situations in everyday professional or personal life can be dealt with competently at an early stage to prevent them from becoming serious problems at all. Second, critical situations can be dealt with quickly and at any time by qualified counselors.

How to take advantage of these services

You can find out how to access the online platform and the telephone number where you can arrange a consultation on the intranet under Health Management (in German). The sessions can be held online, over the phone or in person.

The online platform also gives you access to a wide range of information and a schedule of events with webinars and various online opportunities to discuss various mental health topics, such as Lunch & Learns, Parent Talks and Leadership MeetUps.

If you have any questions about the services available, please contact the HR Development department at personalentwicklung (at) hs-mainz.de.
