Mainz University of Applied Sciences is becoming a hub for international academic exchange

As part of the GOAL project, Mainz University of Applied Sciences welcomed students from its partner institution, the University of Saint Joseph in Macau, along with their professor, Michael Anthony Ha, to its campus. Together with students from Mainz University of Applied Sciences, they worked on current ESG topics in Professor Dr. Markus Hehn’s Corporate Finance course and presented their findings during a joint discussion.

In addition to the University of Saint Joseph, the Chilean partner university Global UDD is also participating in this semester’s international collaboration. The exchange provides students with valuable insights into global issues as well as opportunities for intercultural and academic collaboration.

The guests were welcomed by, among others, University President Prof. Dr. Katharina Dahm, the Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Dr. Hans-Christoph Reiss, and Gabriel Belinga Belinga from the International Office. The program was complemented by visits to Covington & Burling LLP, DZ BANK AG, and the Deutsche Börse Group, as well as guided tours of Mainz and Frankfurt.

The GOAL (Global Outreach through Action and Leadership) project is based at the International Office and is funded by the DAAD and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space. Its goal is to expand sustainable international university partnerships.
