What are the challenges and opportunities for the future of the precast concrete industry? This question was tackled by specialists from industry and research at the Engineering Days in Salzburg on November 29 & 30. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Garg from the Department of Civil Engineering was there as an expert from Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
The Engineering Days event is an important industry meeting for specialists from the precast concrete industry and is held annually, alternating between China and Austria. The theme of this year’s event was Prefabrication in the New Normal. The keynote lectures mainly highlighted current problems facing the industry and possible solutions following the changes caused by the global pandemic.
In addition to specialist presentations, workshops and the opportunity to find out about industry trends from exhibitors, there was of course ample opportunity for networking and professional exchanges.
