IYPA Career Events
Are you an international student who wants to learn more about job opportunities and corporate cultures in Germany? Then the IYPA Career Events are exactly right for you.
As part of IYPA, we organize various career events to connect you with experienced alumni, companies, and institutions in the Rhine-Main region. Our formats IYPA Career Talk (online) and IYPA Company Visit (in person) give you the opportunity to get to know companies, gain insights into different corporate cultures, and engage directly with company representatives and alumni.
This allows you to discover which companies suit you and to meet potential employers for internships, working student positions, thesis projects, and ultimately your career start.

The IYPA Career Talk is an online format combining employer insights with authentic alumni experiences and information tailored specifically to international students
Why participate?

Take the opportunity to learn more about the company and ask your questions directly to company representatives. In an open atmosphere, you can exchange ideas easily and gain valuable insights.
During the Company Visit, you visit a company on site.
You gain insights into the working environment, corporate culture, and potential career paths.
On site, you can:

- talk to employees and alumni
- gain valuable insights into everyday working life
Personal interaction allows you to build connections and learn more about entry opportunities in Germany.
IYPA offers international students of the Faculty of Engineering the opportunity to gain exclusive insights into the working world of Julius Berger International (JBI). The company is one of the leading players in the international engineering and infrastructure sector.

Elevator pitch:
The elevator pitch gives you the opportunity to introduce yourself to JBI in one minute using a single slide and to present your academic focus and career interests concisely. After registration, we will get in touch with you regarding preparation.
Who is this event for?
International students in engineering-related degree programs who are interested in international projects, infrastructure, construction, or engineering and would like to get to know potential employers.
Date: 12 May 2026 | 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Location: Julius Berger International GmbH, Abraham-Lincoln-Strasse 44, 65189 Wiesbaden
Travel: We will travel together by public transport to Wiesbaden. Meeting point: Mainz Central Station, in front of the main entrance, at 8:45 am. Individual travel is also possible—please inform IYPA in advance if this applies to you.
Event language: German, at least a B2 level is required
