IYPA Career Talk

• Skill development: Continuously improve your German language skills, strengthen your ability to learn independently, and benefit from supportive formats for your studies.

• Career guidance: Receive valuable advice from experienced professionals – whether regarding opportunities on the German job market, the application process, or specific aspects of German work culture.
• Learn and grow together: Exchange ideas with like-minded people who are or have been international students and support each other. Become part of a diverse community and build connections that go beyond your studies.

In many degree programs, participation can be credited with 5 to 10 ECTS, and upon completion, you will receive a certificate that enhances your profile for entering the job market.

Participation requirements

• You are an international full-time student enrolled at Hochschule Mainz.
• You will be studying on site in Mainz for at least two more semesters.
• You are willing to be supported by IYPA during your studies and to meet the participation requirements.
• You are open to new connections and interested in being part of a diverse community.

Application process

Admission to IYPA takes place each winter semester.

Application deadline for winter semester 2025/26: 19 October 2025

Formal requirements:

1. Application form: Complete the application form available in the right-hand sidebar.
2. Motivation & goals: Instead of a traditional motivation letter, you will answer specific questions in the online application form about your goals, motivation, and expectations. Your responses should show what you aim to achieve as part of the Academy and how you envision benefiting from the program.
3. Transcript of records: Please upload a current transcript in the form.
4. Certificate of enrollment: Please upload your current certificate of enrollment.

After the application deadline, all applications will be carefully reviewed. Successful applicants will be notified promptly and receive further information about the next steps. The kick-off event, where all new participants are invited to get to know each other and learn more about the program, will take place on 30 October 2025.
