Mainz University of Applied Sciences will once again be participating in the Mainz Science Fair (WIMA) this year. The 24th edition of the event will take place on September 12 and 13, 2026, at Platz der Mainzer Republik. AOn September 11, WIMA invites school classes to a special program featuring workshops and interactive stage presentations. This year’s theme is “People and Regions.”
With numerous hands-on activities, experiments, presentations, and discussions, the Mainz Science Market offers the opportunity to experience science and research up close. Mainz University of Applied Sciences will showcase current projects in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer and invites visitors to engage in conversation with researchers and students.
As early as Friday, September 11, Mainz University of Applied Sciences will participate in the WIMA for Schools. Among other things, students can immerse themselves in the world of 3D geodata, learn more about time-based media, or explore the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence through the stage program. The free workshops and lectures are designed for different grade levels and combine scientific topics with interactive formats.
During the public weekend on September 12 and 13, Mainz University of Applied Sciences, together with other members of the Mainz Science Alliance, will present its research and knowledge transfer projects. Admission to the Mainz Science Market is free.
