Developing Scenarios for AI Tools in Teaching and Testing Settings

Developing Scenarios for AI Tools in Teaching and Testing Settings | Module 2 2-6.5
Offered by the Southwest University Evaluation Network

August 13, 2025, August 27, 2025 (9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)
Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT are fundamentally changing the higher education landscape and challenging established teaching and assessment practices. Particularly in the case of written assignments, a tension arises between assessing competence, ensuring the validity of assessments, and embracing new technologies. At the same time, AI-based tools open up new possibilities for the individualized support of students, competence-based learning, and the pedagogical design of teaching and learning processes. Instructors are thus faced with the challenge of developing and testing viable and sustainable approaches for working with these technologies. The goal is to be able to make informed decisions and proceed thoughtfully while maintaining the same workload.
