Tasks
The Qualification College was founded in early 2017 as an academic institution of Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
The continuing education programs offered by the Qualification College are aimed at doctoral candidates, research associates, and teaching assistants, as well as all interested staff members at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. They are designed to promote participants’ own academic or artistic development in teaching and research, as well as to help them acquire additional qualifications.
The courses are taught by both internal and external instructors. They include both interdisciplinary and target-group-specific seminars. The Qualification College’s offerings are part of Mainz University of Applied Sciences’ internal staff development program.
It has been agreed with the department heads that the target group must attend at least two of the offered courses or comparable external courses per semester. Attendance at these seminars counts as working time.
