Rhineland-Palatinate Scholarship Foundation

The Rhineland-Palatinate Scholarship Foundation provides scholarship funding to universities in Rhineland-Palatinate. The foundation pursues four overarching goals: excellence, internationalization, educational equity, and equal opportunity. Accordingly, various funding programs are announced annually.

The foundation is independent of politics, religion, and ideology; it was established in 2005 by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and its universities to support the next generation of academics.

The application deadline for 2026 is May 31, 2026.
Further information on the 2026 application process, including the application link, has been emailed to all students at Mainz University of Applied Sciences.

  • Involvement at the university: e.g., student council, student parliament, student projects, provided these activities are unpaid
  • Involvement outside the university, e.g., long-term volunteer work and assuming leadership roles in clubs and initiatives

How much is the grant?
The grant amounts to €300 per month and is awarded for one year.
