Welcome to the Time-Based Media – Media Design Alumnae/Alumni Network at Mainz University of Applied Sciences

We connect former students and media partners with the next generation of aspiring media professionals, as well as with faculty members who are currently studying, teaching, working, and conducting research at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Our goal is to build a solid bridge between academic studies and professional life in order to offer our students valuable guidance and support for their career paths.

The FUTURE MEDIA TALKS invite you to experience the creative and technical worlds of media technology up close. Graduates of the Time-Based Media program offer exciting insights into their professional work, provide practical tips for planning your studies, and are available to discuss your questions about the media world.

Experience a wide range of topics, from the latest technical developments to personal challenges and individual career paths. Our alumni share their experiences and pass on valuable industry insights—whether you’re taking your first steps in your career or exploring forward-looking projects. The FUTURE MEDIA TALKS promise to be an inspiring event for anyone who wants to feel the pulse of the media industry and is looking for new perspectives.

We look back on our networking event and are delighted by the many outstanding contributions and insights into current and future “media worlds.”

Our alumni offer personal insights into their career paths and share valuable experiences from their time as students at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Whether it’s film production, motion design, digital exhibits, hosting, or character design—they all showcase the diverse opportunities that open up after graduation. At the same time, they’re passing on inspiring tips to the next generation of creative media professionals. Let their stories motivate you and learn firsthand how to successfully launch your career in the creative world!

This ongoing networking event also serves as a gateway to the professional world. We want to give our students the opportunity to network with alumni from Mainz. This makes it easier for our students to enter the media industry and thus makes the optional internship semester even more attractive. In addition to providing basic information on current industry developments and topics, the FUTURE MEDIA TALKS event also offers a space for informal conversations and discussions where students can share their interests, goals, and challenges with industry professionals. This one-day event helps to establish and expand a strong network between our students and Mainz University of Applied Sciences alumni—who serve as potential employers—and, in turn, brings practical knowledge back into the university.
